High-Speed Dash from Colorado Springs to Denver Lands Texas Man an Arrest Warrant
A Texas man, Rendon Dietzmann, known as Gixxer Brah on YouTube, is facing criminal charges after a viral video allegedly showed him reaching speeds of 150 MPH on a motorcycle. The video, titled “From Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 Minutes,” depicted Dietzmann weaving in and out of traffic in September 2023. Although the video has been taken down, the Colorado State Patrol is pursuing charges, claiming he violated multiple laws and endangered “hundreds of people.”
Dietzmann, a 32-year-old from Justin, Texas, captures his motorcycle rides with a helmet-mounted camera for his YouTube channel with around 250,000 subscribers and nearly 20 million views across almost 500 videos. The Colorado State Patrol, collaborating with the Dallas Police Department, identified him, and an arrest warrant has been issued.
Colorado State Patrol Sgt. Troy Kessler emphasized that illegal and reckless driving will not be tolerated, expressing concern for the safety of road users. He stated that arresting Dietzmann is the best-case scenario, considering the potential risks associated with such behavior.
The drive from Colorado Springs to Denver typically takes about an hour, but Dietzmann’s video suggested significantly faster speeds. The charges he faces include menacing, engaged in a speed contest, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, speeding 40 MPH over the speed limit, exhibition of speed, and driving without a license plate. Dietzmann has not yet responded to attempts to contact him for comments on the situation.
